Resolution criteria
Resolves YES if Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) receives at least 25.0% of the valid second votes (Zweitstimmen) in the first German federal election (Bundestagswahl) held after the 23 February 2025 election, whether regularly scheduled or held early following a dissolution of the Bundestag. Resolves NO if AfD receives less than 25.0% of valid second votes in that election. Use the official final nationwide second-vote result published by the Federal Returning Officer (Bundeswahlleiterin); do not use first votes, polling, provisional results, coalition formation, or a state-level result. If an early election takes place, that election is the deciding election; otherwise the next regular election is constitutionally due between 26 January and 25 March 2029. The exact regular polling date has not yet been officially announced. A coalition breakup alone does not resolve this question; an election must actually be held.
